Firefox and Opera: Similar Interfaces

Well as I completed my Firefox 4 Beta tutorial yesterday I went on looking up more. People kept accusing Firefox of copying Opera, so I decided to see for my self. Turns out, the browsers do indeed share some similarities.

Once more a change

As you may have noticed (probably not considering I  have only one link to this blog at the current time) I posted my tutorial in a post and tutorial section. Well that is not very effective, so instead I will post a link to the tutorial when I make on.  By the way, if you are actually reading this please post a comment for a shout out in my video for actually visiting my website before making a video on it.)

Thanks and stay fresh!

Aero Snap

I am editing a video right now for FreewillTutorials, it’s about a program called Aero Snap beta. This program basically allows you to  make your Windows Xp/Vista machine to gain the “Snap” feature as seen from Windows 7. If you don’t know what “Snap” is then here is a definition snippet:

Aero Snap – Clicking and dragging a window to the right or left side of the desktop causes the window to fill the respective half of the screen. Snapping a window to the top of the desktop maximizes it. Resizing a window to touch the top or bottom edge of the screen maximizes the window to full height, whilst retaining its width; these windows will then slide horizontally if moved by the title bar, or can be pulled off, which returns the window to its original height.

-Wkipedia

Or take a look at this Official Microsoft Snap Page

Steps: Installation

  1. Go to the Aero Snap Website
  2. Click the Download Button
  3. Run the installer and follow the instructions/prompts

Steps: The Real Deal

  1. Run the program
  2. Drag a window to the left or right edge of your screen to take up half of the side you put it up against
    1. You may do this with two different windows, just be sure they are at opposite corners
  3. Drag a window to the top of a screen to maximize it.

Steps: Preferences

  1. Right click on the Aero Snap icon (Green) in the taskbar and click options
  2. Check the boxes according to your likings. (Checked is equivalent to the statement TRUE)

3.   Clicking Snapping in the sidebar will bring up options on how many pixels must a window be to bring out a task. (resizing)

An you are all done, now you got your self one snazy looking Aero Snap

Change in layout

Okay, I changed my mind, this is now a news type tab thing. Home is now a page, and basically I will talk about my new tutorials that come out and stuff. Somehow blogs (to me) feel like a twitter status page but long. I don’t know, whatever.
