Firefox 4.0 Beta 1

logo-only Alright we all know Google Chrome is growing like a wild fire on steriods. Adn up until now I though that they would just continue until Firefox was to Chrome as Firefox is to I.E. today. But recently Firefox has launched the Firefox 4 Beta 1, which implements some things Chrome already had, such as tabs on top. Also something called the Firefox Button has been made to do away with the traditional menu bar, which Chrome has also already done. But there is also some new features that are really cool, and worth checking out.

alert WARNING! This program should NOT be used for daily purposes! If you would like the latest stable version of Firefox, please go HERE.

Steps: Download & Install

    2. Click Next
    3. ClickCustom” or “Standard” (I will continue with custom) Next >
    4. Choose a destination folder. (Default is usually okay.) Next >
      1. announcements I would recommend making the destination folder different from an original Firefox edition, so that you can freely test when you want, but switch back to your normal use browser whenever.
    5. Check the boxes that you would like. Unless you have Quick Launch, I would uncheck that. Next >
    6. Next >
    7. Next > or Upgrade >
      1. alert I strongly suggest not to check “Use Firefox as my default browser” because this is a beta, and things can go wrong.
    8. Check/Uncheck “Launch Firefox now” Finish >
