Keepass Logo As we all are on the internet, we all have accounts to various websites. which can become a pain at remembering the passwords. There are two solutions. Change all the passwords to the same one, or secondly you can get a password manager. The latter being the second to having acute memory.

  1. First of all I, FreewillTutorials, require you to check Master Password and to enter in a password that shows zero results on Google.
  2. Now that that’s out of the way, you also have the options of Key File and Windows User Account.
    1. Key File: “A key file is basically a master password in a file. Key files are typically stronger than master passwords, because the key can be a lot more complicated; however it’s also harder to keep them secret.” [http://keepass.info/help/base/keys.html]
    2. Windows User Account: “KeePass can make the database dependent on the current Windows user account. If you enable this option, you can only open the database when you are logged in as the same Windows user when creating the database.” [http://keepass.info/help/base/keys.html] announcements version 1.x does not support this feature.
  3. Simply check the ones you want, obviously the more you check, the more secure.
  4. alert If you get this message (below) just click okay and continue to do so until the main Keepass program opens. Then go to File > New then save a file and go through the above steps again.
