Zoom it


  In this tutorial I will show you a program that enlarges pixels to fit the screen resulting in the entire screen zooming in to an area in real time (Real time only available for Vista and Up.)

Steps: Download

  1. Open an Internet Browser
  2. Go to The ZoomIt Website
  3. Click Download ZoomIt

Steps: Uncompression

  1. Right Click on the icon 
  2. Go to Open With > Compressed (zipped) Folders

  3. Drag the contents of the folder out of the Compressed container (ZIP)

*For users who have not installed an uncompression tool (Peazip, Winzip, etc.) than you may double click on the icon, or you may use Uncompression software anyway.

Steps: Use

  1. Open the program by Double Clicking on the Program. (This is a Stand-Alone program and does not require installation.)
  2. Tab Setup
    1. Zoom Tab: Allows you to change the keys needed to toggle Zoom – Change the Zoom Toggle to any Valid key, you may also choose to hold Ctrl and/or Alt and press another key for combination keys.
    2. Live Zoom: Live Zoom, which is only available in Vista and Up allows you to zoom into a screen while Windows continue to run normally,  meaning you can double click on icons, close windows, etc. while zoomed in.
    3. Draw: Allows you to Draw in red ink while zoomed in and also while not zoomed in. – Change the Draw w/out Zoom to any Valid key, you may also choose to hold Ctrl and/or Alt and press another key for combination keys.
    4. Type: Allows you to type words in clear red font by pressing ‘T’ – Change the font used by clicking Set Font and selecting a Font, Font Style, And Size
    5. Break: Allows you to make a timer during long presentations – Change the Start Timer to any Valid key, you may also choose to hold Ctrl and/or Alt and press another key for combination keys, also change the Timer to any duration of minutes from 1-99. Check Show Time Elapsed After Expiration to get how much time has passed since the Timer ended.
    6. Break Advanced Options
      1. Check Play Sound on Expiration to play a sound when the time expires, remember to choose an Audio File.
      2. Click a percent from the drop down menu in Timer Opacity, to adjust how transparent the Timer Window is.
      3. Click a different dot on Timer Position to change the position of the actual numbers of the timer.
      4. Check Show Background Bitmap to use a bitmap as the background of a timer.
  3. Tray Icon: Check it at the bottom of the window to view a ZoomIt icon when the window is inactive.
